Click here to download version 2.0 beta 1. Linux x86 and Solaris x86 binary included.

You need to have GGI 2.x installed to run the binaries.

Here is an ECC you can use to test it with: shan2_11.ecc

And lastly, what page describing an application would be complete without a screenshot?

More information directly from the README:

This is:

eccview 2.0 for GGI beta 1 (catchy name sought) by Peter Bortas based on
eccview 2.000 beta 3 by Mok and Iceman of The Black Squadron.

Legal:

This program is copyrighted but may be freely distributed on the net.
This means it may *NOT* be distributed on any PAY site or CDROM without
Mok's special permission. If you'll find this program in such place,
  let him know!

About eccview:

eccview plays animations in the ECC format. This format is so far as
I know only used in old Japanese RPG and dating games. The most
common animation will depict a cute girl looking at you admiringly
and blinking her eyes. A word of warning for the sensitive persons
out there: ECC is short for Ecchi, which is a Japanese word usually
translated to "pervert". So it will probably come as no surprise to
you that clothes on the girls in question are simply not there in
  some of the animations...

Why:

ECCs are hardly in circulation any more, so why would I take the
code out of storage and dust it off? Well, I once got the source for
eccview from Mok years ago when I was thinking about doing a Solaris
version of the viewer. I did make an Xlib version for Solaris Sparc,
but it was never released. When I recently needed something to test
GGI memory targets on I came to think of eccview, so I quickly
ported it over. It worked, and worked better* than the old X11
version. So I decided to release it in case anyone would want it.

  * Cudos to the GGI guys for that. GGI is very easy to program for.

Source?:

When I was given the source I promised not to release it or a
specification of the ECC format, and I intend to stick to my
word. It's unfortunate, but there is nothing to do about it.

If you can't run the provided binaries on your favorite OS, tell me
about it and I'll consider getting hold of a machine of that kind
and make an extra binary. No promises though.

Usage:
  eccview <eccfiles>

  q : Quit the program
<Space> : Next section in the animation or the next animation
if the last section has been reached.

These only apply if eccview is unable to open a view area. This will
never happen when you are running it on an X-target:

 <Up> : Scroll up.
 <Down> : Scroll down.
 <Left> : Scroll left.
 <Right> : Scroll right.
<Page Up> : Scroll upwards the height of the view area.
<Page Down> : Scroll downwards the height of the view area.
<Home> : Scroll left the width of the view area.
<End> : Scroll right the width of the view area.

Resources:
There is a GTK+ version of eccview for Linux available at
  http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Platform/4014/ made by
  LongJohns Silver / RRR

The GTK+ version has a few problems with colors, but is othervise
pretty much equivalent with the GGI version if you are running under
  X11.

My apologies to Mr Silver for blatantly stealing some parts of his
  readme for this readme.

Bugs:
Some corrupt ECCs cause eccview to segfault. This is the same for all
versions of eccview. I have no planes to fix it.

Some section changes causes eccview to show the wrong palette for a
  short period of time.

Once upon a time, the original authors had the following

not interested in things like this anymore, so you probably
  shouldn't bother them.
